Cornerstone Garage
Cornerstone Garage has been in business since before the turn of the century - May 1998!
It was initially established near Ilminster in Somerset, after the proprietor left the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Taunton to try his hand at running his own Mercedes specialist.
Six years later Cornerstone moved into a purpose-built unit and continued to successfully trade through floods, snow and recessions. During those years it seemed a good idea to expand! Nothing ventured...nothing gained!
So, in June 2010 a site was found in Tiverton and the expansion took place. Cornerstone Garage was now Nationwide!
More Mercedes dealer trained staff joined the team to fill the roles required in the new premises and, slowly but surely, Cornerstone Garage gained the trust of the people of Devon as they had in Somerset.
In 2014, an opportunity arose to sell the business in Somerset and allow the proprietor to concentrate on one site again.
Four years later, in October 2018, Cornerstone Garage took over West Exe Motors, a very well established and popular Kia service agent, and relocated to their premises. The move and merger went well and all the staff from both businesses remain to form what is now an excellent team with a fantastic depth of knowledge throughout the motor trade.

Our Team
Managing the business we have Stephen.
He uses his depth of knowledge throughout the motor trade to aid and assist in all and any department as and when required.
The parts department had an addition to the team in January 2022 when Andrew joined. He has previous main dealership experience and also supports the front of house.
Dominic and Kelvin have been working in the trade most of their lives. Working through Citroen and Kia dealerships, there can't be many situations they haven't been in and out of over their years in the trade.
John has also been through the Citroen and Kia dealerships. John has a very considering and methodical approach which is perfect for those big strips down and rebuild jobs!
Ben has served his time in the trade solely with Cornerstone Garage. Ben can turn his hand to any aspect of the trade, from complex diagnosis to the simple service.
Joe is our workshops youngest technician. Joining in July 2021 as an apprentice, he is currently working his way through a three year course to become a fully qualified technician.
With this professional line up, we are looking to be the one stop garage that can serve Tiverton and the surrounding area with all their vehicular requirements.
We specialise in Mercedes and Kia but we have always serviced and repaired all makes and models. We are also registered with multiple vehicle lease companies. If you have a lease vehicle with a service plan, and you live within a 10-mile radius of us then there is a good chance that it will be us that will be carrying out your service work.
